Saint-Petersburg Open VHF Championship 2014
Saint-Petersburg and Leningradskaya oblast regional branches of Russian radioamateur Union (SRR) hereby invites all licensed radio amateurs to participate in Saint-Petersburg Open VHF Championship.
1. Period. June 14, 2014, 15:00-19:00 UTC.
2. Participants. All licensed radio amateurs. Every competitor should make at least one contact with Saint-Petersburg city or it's region (Leningradskaya oblast).
Any callsign of Saint-Petersburg and it's region consist of any russian prefix, digit "1" and then the first letter of suffix must be one of "A"-"M". For example UA1DZ, UA1MU, RK1AA, RO1A, RX1CD, UA1CKC.
3. Bands and modes. 144, 432 and 1296 MHz: CW, SSB and FM in accordance with IARU Region 1 bandplan.
4. Contacts. Duplicate contacts are allowed only on the different bands. Mixed, EME, MS and repeater contacts are not allowed. Skeds are allowed.
5. Exchange. RS(T), serial number of contact and QTH-locator, for example 599 001 KO59EX. Real RST reporting is recommended.
6. Points. 1 point for each kilometer of the distance between stations on 144 MHz. 2 points for each kilometer of the distance between stations on 432 MHz. 4 points for each kilometer of the distance between stations on 1296 MHz. If distance is less than 1 km then also 1, 2 or 4 point according to the band. Additional points for each new WWL are NOT counted.
7. Classes for the participants outside Saint-Petersburg.
- B0. Multi operators;
- B1. Single operator, all bands, all modes;
- B2. Single operator, 144 MHz band, all modes.
8. Logs. Only electronic logs in EDI (REG1TEST) format are preferred.
Every repeated log sending is subject to penalty in 10% of total points.
Deadline for logs is 20:00 UTC June 24, 2014. Log submission implies a signed declaration that all contest rules and national amateur radio regulations have been observed.
9. Log checking. Contacts are not counted in the cases: - no log of another station (but logs of these stations may be modelled by the log checking sofware); - errors in time, mode, callsigns, serial numbers and/or QTH-locators.
Estimated date of publication of preliminary results is June 25, 2014. The decision of the Contest Committee is final.
10. Awarding. Winners in B0 and B1 classes will be awarded with plaques or equivalent awards. Second and third places in B0 and B1 classes will be awarded with medals or equivalent awards. Top-three entrants in B2 class will be awarded with medals. All other participants will be awarded with certificates.
