Summer ALRS VHF Contest
Association of radioamateurs of Saint-Petersburg (ALRS) hereby invites all licensed radio amateurs to participate in VHF contest.
1. Period. June 11, 2011, 16:00-20:00 UTC.
2. Participants. All licensed radio amateurs. Every competitor should make at least one contact with Saint-Petersburg city or it's region (Leningradskaya oblast).
Any callsign of Saint-Petersburg and it's region consist of any russian prefix, digit "1" and then the first letter of suffix must be one of "A"-"M". For example UA1DZ, UA1MU, RK1AA, RO1A, RX1CD, UA1CKC.
3. Bands and modes. 144-146 and 432-435 MHz: CW, SSB and FM in accordance with IARU Region 1 bandplan. 12,5 kHz channel spacing in FM is recommended.
4. Contacts. Duplicate contacts are allowed only on the different bands. Mixed, EME, MS and repeater contacts are not allowed. Skeds are allowed.
5. Exchange. RS(T), serial number of contact and QTH-locator, for example 599 001 KO59EX. Real RST reporting is recommended.
6. Points. 1 point for each kilometer of the distance between stations. If distance is less than 1 km then also 1 point. Additional points for each new WWL are NOT counted.
7. Classes.
- B1. 144 and 432 MHz bands, all modes;
- B3. 144 MHz band, all modes;
- B4. 432 MHz band, all modes.
The number of operators of any station is not limited but only one set of equipment (TRX, PA and ANT) should be used.
8. Logs. Only electronic logs are accepted. Logs in EDI (REG1TEST) format are preferred. Otherwise you can use the template in Microsoft Word format from contest website: http://alrs.info/downloads.php?cat_id=2&download_id=4
Every repeated log sending is subject to penalty in 10 % of total points.
Deadline for logs is 24:00 UTC June 21, 2011. Log submission implies a signed declaration that all contest rules and national amateur radio regulations have been observed.
9. Log checking. Contacts are not counted in the cases: - no log of another station (but logs of these stations may be modelled by the log checking sofware); - errors in time, mode, callsigns, serial numbers and/or QTH-locators.
Estimated date of publication of preliminary results is July 1, 2011. The decision of the Contest Committee is final.
10. Awarding. Top-three entrants in B1 class will be awarded with diplomas and medals or equivalent award. Top-three entrants in B3 and B4 classes will be awarded with diplomas. All other participants will be awarded with certificates.
